Psychotherapist

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in providing psychotherapy to adults, children, couples, or families. This role involves providing high-quality care and support and requires adherence to ethical standards and confidentiality regulations. This is a fee-for-service position with salary potential. 

Duties

  • Provide therapy sessions to individuals, couples, and/or families through evidence-based treatment modalities.

  • Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of patient information.

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.

  • Stay updated on best practices in psychotherapy and participate in ongoing professional development.

  • Engage in supervision with Clinic Director regularly.

  • See clients both in-person in our Acton office and virtually (upon request).

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.

  • Willingness to be credentialed with Blue Cross Blue Shield. 

  • Valid independent licensure in the state of Massachusetts (LICSW, LMHC)

  • Strong knowledge of medical documentation standards.

  • Proficiency in client assessment techniques and familiarity with various therapeutic modalities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.

  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines set forth by professional organizations.

  • Certification in a specific therapeutic modality (i.e. EMDR, IFS, SE) preferred but not required.

  • Expected caseload: 15-20 clients per week 

  • On-site 2-3 days per week

  • Ability to commute to Acton, MA
