Psychotherapist
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in providing psychotherapy to adults, children, couples, or families. This role involves providing high quality care and support and requires adherence to ethical standards and confidentiality regulations. This is a fee-for-service position.
Duties
Provide therapy sessions to individuals, couples, and/or families through evidence-based treatment modalities.
Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of patient information.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
Stay updated on best practices in psychotherapy and participate in ongoing professional development.
Engage in supervision with Clinic Director regularly.
See clients both in-person in our Acton office and virtually (upon request).
Requirements
Master’s degree or PhD in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Willingness to be credentialed with Blue Cross Blue Shield.
Valid independent licensure in the state of Massachusetts (LICSW, LMHC).
Strong knowledge of medical documentation standards.
Proficiency in client assessment techniques and familiarity with various therapeutic modalities.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines set forth by professional organizations.
Certification in a specific modality preferred, but not required.
Expected caseload: 15-20 clients per week
Ability to commute to Acton, MA
